Practive Review

By Dr. Peter Crack, Art Historian

Throughout his career, Andy’s innovative use of technology has always impressed me. He has a knack for finding novel ways of realising his ideas, with outcomes that engage with diverse audiences in challenging and often delightful ways. Andy has the ability to make the profound playful and the playful profound.

Taking inspiration from the worlds of art history, visual theory, and emerging technologies, his practice explores optical science and the ways meaning can be visualised beyond straightforward mimesis. His work probes at the intersections between wellbeing and aesthetics, tackling complex human experiences head-on without fear or taboo.

Whether creating highly original 3D-printed sculptures or co-designing participatory community projects, Andy is a natural communicator who shares complex ideas with both clarity and generosity of spirit. He is a highly competent organiser, a trustworthy collaborator, and a practitioner with a proven track record of bringing ambitious art projects to fruition.
